Digital Signage – Content References

Centralised control for distributed structures.

An interactive digital signage system was developed for the DEHA Group and deployed across more than 130 subsidiaries belonging to the five independent shareholders – Adalbert Zajadacz, Alexander Bürkle, Emil Löffelhardt, Hardy Schmitz and Obeta. Interactive content is broadcast via touch kiosks, fully managed through a multi-tiered CMS with sophisticated user access control.

Problem statement / Challenge

Unified Platform.
Various requirements.

The DEHA Group comprises five independent electrical wholesalers with a combined network of around 150 locations across Germany. The core challenge was to build a system that enables centralized management while strictly preserving the autonomy of each independent partner - ensuring each corporate group can only access their designated area and publish content independently.

Objective

Clear structures and maximum flexibility.

The target was to develop a digital signage system featuring interactive touchscreen panels managed via a multi-tiered CMS. The solution was designed to support three levels of administration – centralised at DEHA, by corporate group and by local branch – while offering granular access control to guarantee the independence of the shareholders.

Technology

Complex Logic. Seamless Execution.

A customized CMS powered by PHP and Vue.js with multi-level access control, React
Electron
for the native Windows application running on the touchscreen kiosks, spot
tracking
for detailed content performance analytics, and seamless integration into
existing hardware infrastructure

Solution

One Platform, Three Levels, Full Control.

The developed CMS delivers seamless content management across three structural levels: DEHA-wide, per corporate group, and per branch. Advanced permissions management ensures that each business unit can only view its own area and can create localized campaigns independently. The touch kiosks run on a native React Electron Windows application to deliver interactive, highly responsive content. Furthermore, integrated Spot-Tracking monitors playbacks and user interactions, delivering valuable, data-driven insights on content performance.

Customer Feedback

Centralized Command, Decentralized Strength.

The system enables DEHA Group to strike the perfect balance between centralized  coordination and decentralized autonomy - perfectly aligning with our philosophy as a cooperative of independent electrical wholesalers. The solution is exceptionally reliable in live operations and is actively utilized by all shareholders.
